Proceedings of ISA 2020 will be published by Science and Technology of Archaeological Research (STAR), an open access journal by Taylor & Francis.
All papers presented at the ISA 2020, either oral or poster can be submitted. The submitted papers will go through a peer reviewing system and, if accepted, will be published with no publication charge as this is part of the agreement ISA has with STAR to which we pay a certain amount of money drawn from the registration fees of the Symposium.
There are two important benefits for publishing your ISA paper in STAR:
Every paper which is submitted goes through a reviewing process for the benefit of the authors and the quality of the Proceedings, and once accepted goes straight on to publication without waiting for all the papers of the conference to be submitted. The latter is the cause of delays for many conference proceedings. At the end all the papers are assembled together to form a special issue of the ISA Proceedings 2020.
STAR is an open access electronic journal and so all the papers published can be downloaded in full and free of charge by anyone in the World! This naturally increases the visibility of the papers, which is very beneficial to the authors but also to our Proceedings and the ISA.
Members of the ISA Standing Committee will take editorial care of your papers and guide the reviewing process with the help of specialist colleagues in the equivalent research subjects.
